The Population Renewal Initiative
Accelerating international learning on population renewal.
Every country is investing significant expertise, research, and policy effort to strengthen population renewal. Yet much of this knowledge remains fragmented across national borders.
The Population Renewal Initiative (PRI) exists to strengthen international learning by connecting leading organizations, synthesizing global developments, and facilitating long-term collaboration.
Together, we can accelerate how the world learns.
Every Country Is Running Its Own Population Renewal Experiment
Across advanced economies, governments, universities, research institutes, foundations, and policy organizations are investing substantial resources into understanding and strengthening population renewal.
Each country is generating valuable knowledge through research, policy experimentation, and practical experience. Yet these efforts remain largely confined within national systems.
As a result:
-
Similar research questions are explored independently.
-
Similar policy interventions are tested in parallel.
-
Valuable successes, failures, and lessons remain nationally contained.
-
Opportunities for international learning are lost.
What is missing is not another research institute.
What is missing is a global learning loop.
Creating the Global Learning Loop
The Population Renewal Initiative creates a continuous international learning process through three complementary activities.
Knowledge Synthesis
Monitor the global landscape and transform research, policy developments, pilot programmes, and partner contributions into shared understanding.
↓
Knowledge Exchange
Create structured opportunities for organizations to learn directly from one another through international discussions and collaborative dialogue.
↓
Relationship Development
Facilitate strategic introductions between organizations whose expertise, experience, and ambitions complement one another.
Together, these activities strengthen the international ecosystem for population renewal.

What Participation Looks Like

The Population Renewal Initiative
The Population Renewal Initiative is currently inviting a small group of organizations to help shape its future as Founding Partners.
If your organization is contributing to research, policy, or practical solutions on population renewal, we would welcome the opportunity to introduce the Initiative, answer your questions, and explore whether participation would be of mutual interest.
